Creates a new edit window. Enter the name and details for each column. Columns may be either linear or levels (for factor variables).
Open
opens an existing file with GLMStat format
Close
Closes the edit window and saves file as required
Import
Imports data from a text file (tabs or spaces as separators). Checking the 'Use First Row as Column Titles' box causes the first row of the data to be used as the column titles.
Save
Saves file in GLMStat format
SaveAs
Saves file under a different name either in GLMStat or text format with tabs as separators.
Revert to Saved
Returns to last saved version of file
Preferences
Allows various methods to be specified. These are:
pValues in Estimates
Specifies whether pValues will be calculated for parameter estimaters.
Beep when finished
Causes the current system beep to occur when a Fit is completed.
Default Residual Method
Sets the residual method (in Define dialog) used for new files.
Include summary in Report output
Causes summary details when selected to appear in the Report output.
Maximum levels for Factors
Sets the maximum value that a factor may have. This value is used by import to determine if an integer valued column should be a factor. Fitting models with factors with many levels will require a great deal of time and memory.
Automatically create graphs for
This causes the selected graphs to be automatically created whenever a file is openned, imported or created.
Graph Defaults
Sets default grid and symbol size when creating graphs.
Page Setup
Allows specification of printer characteristics prior to printing.
Print
Print the frontmost window (either data, GLM or graph) to selected printer.
Report
Opens or closes the Report file which contains the results from the analysis. This output will be a record of all text sent to the Results window and if RTF format is selected will output graphs as well..
